SAVE the DRAP and Rouge Park!
The removal of 7,400 acres of land from the Greenbelt – including the Duffins Rouge Agricultural Preserve (DRAP) – will have serious negative impacts in many areas of federal responsibility, including:
- Endangered Species
- Climate Change
- Rouge National Park
- Indigenous Rights
As a result, the federal government has recently decided to launch a study of current and future development in the area around Rouge National Park. Write to your Federal MP and the Minister of the Environment to let them know you support this study and want to see stronger protections for these vital and irreplaceable farms, forests and wetlands, which were, until recently, part of Ontario’s Greenbelt.
Tell Your MP you support efforts to protect Rouge Park and the Duffins Rouge Agricultural Preserve.
Your letter will be sent to your federal MP and Steven Guilbeault, the Minister of the Environment.
