In case you missed it - the Prime Minister just announced a plan for funding public transit that won’t begin until 2026 and doesn’t actually fund more frequent and reliable service!

Public transit funding from the federal government isn’t allowed to be used for running more service or reducing fares. If it was, it would improve service frequency and reliability, so you could wait less, count on your ride to show up on time and pay less when you board.

This kind of public transit funding is crucial for the environment, because it helps more people choose public transit and keeps polluting cars off the road.
