Protect our Environmental Rights!

Premier Ford has done everything in his power to undermine provincial environmental assessments and ignore the climate impacts of his destructive infrastructure projects.

For many projects, a federal Impact Assessment is the only proper environmental review that will ever be conducted. But now, because of a recent Supreme Court ruling which found flaws in the Impact Assessment Act, the Premier is trying to force through several catastrophic and expensive projects — including Highway 413 — before the Federal government has time to revise the Impact Assessment Act.

The Federal Government can and should revise the Impact Assessment Act and redesignate Highway 413 for a new assessment.

Without federal oversight, Premier Ford will happily waste 10 billion taxpayer dollars on a 10 lane mega-highway which will cross a 100 creeks and rivers, destroy the best remaining forests in York region, create gridlock and perpetuate expensive climate-destroying sprawl development.

Tell Minister Guilbeault, Minister Wilkinson and your local MP to redesignate Highway 413!

Your letter will be sent to the Ministers of the Environment and Natural Resources and your local MP.
