Climate finance is the missing piece of Canada’s climate plan. Canada’s ‘2030 Emissions Reduction Plan’ is full of proposed regulations directed across the economy to ensure that Canada meets its emissions reduction targets. Meanwhile, Canada’s financial sector is continuing to provide huge financing to the fossil fuel industry, while failing to invest in the clean energy transition. Financial regulations are an important tool that we need to cut off the pipeline of money to the fossil fuel industry, and shift it into climate solutions and a safer world for us all.
This webinar 'lunch & learn' will outline the significance of climate-aligned financial regulations, shedding light on its integral role in Canada’s climate strategy and offer insights on how we can advocate for much-needed government action on climate finance. We will outline the year ahead in climate-aligned finance, and give you all the details you need to join in.
