Stop Waste Burning in Brampton:
A meeting to stop Brampton from becoming home to the largest waste burning facility in Canada
A privately-owned waste incinerator on the border between Brampton and Mississauga is planning to quadruple its operations to become the largest waste-burning facility in Canada. The expansion would load even more dangerous pollutants into your community, which is already burdened by heavy air pollution from industry and transportation.
Join Environmental Defence, Sierra Club Peel group, Brampton Environmental Alliance, Toronto Environmental Alliance and Peel's Community Climate Council for an in-person public meeting to learn about the impacts of ramped-up toxic emissions from the incinerator and to help build a plan to halt its expansion.

No private company should have the right to make Brampton the garbage-burning capital of Ontario, and certainly not without giving local residents a real say. Peel residents don’t deserve to breathe Ontario’s garbage.
Hope to see you there!
