On a daily basis, Canadians coast-to-coast are exposed to toxic chemicals at home, in their workplaces and in the greater environment. Many of these chemicals have been linked to serious health concerns such as cancer, hormone-disruption, asthma and infertility.
Information about toxic substances in common household products or services such as dry cleaning can be hard to find. These harmful ingredients are also not always listed on the label or disclosed to consumers.
Canadians have the right to know what’s in the products and services that their family uses every day. You can help by asking the Ontario government to require mandatory labeling of products containing carcinogens and improved disclosure to consumers.
