Ontario's deposit return system works well for alcohol bottles and cans, but most plastic bottles end up in the trash. 

Ontario and Manitoba are the only provinces without a deposit-return program for all beverage containers, which is why we have the worst recycling rate in Canada. Expanding our deposit system would keep billions of containers out of our lakes, rivers and landfills!
