Alberta is at risk of opening the doors to new coal mining exploration across our province.  Why? Because Gina Rinehart, an Australian billionaire, has bullied our government to lift the ban on mining for metallurgical coal on the Eastern Slopes of the Rocky Mountains. 

Now, it’s time to end coal mining, once and for all. Rinehart has the money, but we have the citizen power! Albertans have won this fight before, and we can win it again. Nearly 80% of Albertans are against coal mining on the Eastern Slopes, with tens of thousands advocating to protect the slopes. But we need to up the stakes, and we need your help to do it! 

To flex our citizen power, our elected officials need to hear from us! This webinar will teach you political advocacy skills, including how to schedule a meeting and advocate for an end to coal mining with your local Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA).
