Premier Ford himself has said he’s willing to fix Ontario’s troubled curbside recycling system—let’s make sure he gets the message: It’s time to expand Ontario’s successful deposit-return program to all beverage containers.
Sign up to take your advocacy to the next level along with other Ontarians who don’t want plastic bottles and aluminum cans piling up in our parks, rivers and landfills.
When: Thursday, March 12th, 7:00 - 8:00pm (EST)
Where: Online
- Get an update on drink container reuse and recycling in Ontario from Karen Wirsig, Senior Program Manager, Plastics, Environmental Defence.
- Explore how to reach out to your MPP and have a direct impact.
- Get support as we write letters and make calls, taking action on the spot!
Together, we can let our MPPs know we won’t accept the failing Blue Box program, which captures less than 50 per cent of our empties and leaves billions of bottles and cans polluting our parks, landfills and waterways. We can ask them to speak up at Queen’s Park for a common-sense solution instead—a deposit-return system that covers all drink containers.
Can't wait to see you there!
