Join Reconnect York for a free clothing swap and mending workshop. Whether you're clearing out a closet full of "maybe someday" pieces or on the hunt for something new-to-you, this is a morning well spent. Come for the clothes, stay for the community, and leave with new skills and a bag full of finds you'll actually love.

👕What to bring:

• 1–10 clothing items to donate 
  • clean and in good condition — if you wouldn't give it to a friend in that state, please hold onto it for now
  • We welcome all clothing types, including adults' and kids'.
  • Please, no undergarments.
• A reusable bag to carry your new finds home
• Your family and friends!

📋How It Works

💠 10:30 – 11:00 AM | Drop Off

Arrive and bring your clean, gently used clothing items (up to 10 pieces). Our volunteers will take it from there while you enjoy refreshments and meet your neighbours.

💠 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Visible Mending Workshop

While our team sorts through the donations, learn the art of visible mending — a growing movement that turns repairs into a feature, not a flaw. Whether it's a beloved denim jacket or a favourite t-shirt with a hole, you'll leave with the skills to give your clothes a longer, more colourful life.

💠 12:00 – 1:30 PM | The Swap

Time to swap! Browse the clothing selection and take home whatever calls to you for free.
 

🎉Plus: Attendees can enjoy snacks and refreshments and can enter a raffle to WIN a giftcard!

🚍Transportation: Community centre is reachable via bus lines 005 & 105 and protected bike lanes. Free parking is available on site.
