The New Brunswick Government wants to fast-track an expensive and highly polluting gas plant instead of exploring cheaper and cleaner ways to deliver electricity. 

New Brunswick requires more power as industry, government and communities convert their homes, vehicles and industrial processes to electricity. 

Instead of exploring cheaper and cleaner ways to meet those needs, the government wants to lock into 25 years of dirty, expensive gas and diesel from the United States. The Tantramar Gas Plant is a multi-billion dollar project that could raise electricity rates for decades to come. 

A grid scale battery could do the job for much less money. Why hasn’t the government considered this option?  

The province needs to explore ALL available alternatives that consider the energy future of New Brunswick, before investing in an expensive and dirty gas plant. 

Tell Premier Susan Holt to stop the Tantramar Gas Plant and consider cleaner energy alternatives!
