Tell the Provincial Government that Ontarians Wants a Clean Energy Future
Communities around the world, including countries with the same cold climate as ours, like Switzerland and Norway, are moving away from gas and turning to renewable sources of energy to generate electricity. Meanwhile, Ontario lags behind by increasing our reliance on toxic fossil fuels. To make matters worse, most of the gas used in Ontario is imported from the United States.
Wind and solar are now the cheapest forms of energy generation, and when paired with battery storage, can meet Ontario’s growing energy demands. Renewable energy is also quicker to build, provides revenue streams for local communities, and reduces air pollution.
Ontario is in the midst of one of the biggest energy acquisitions in the province’s history. This is a major opportunity to expand our renewable energy resources to lower energy costs and pollution and strengthen our energy security.
Urge the provincial government to favour renewable energy and battery storage and move away from polluting fossil gas for a more affordable and secure energy future for Ontarians.
Your message will be sent to your Members of Provincial Parliament, the Premier of Ontario, Hon. Doug Ford, as well as the Ontario Ministry of Energy and Mines, Hon. Stephen Lecce.
