Tell the Ontario government to Stop Bill 66 and protect our clean drinking water.
Premier Doug Ford's proposed “Open for Business” Act (Bill 66) will allow new factories and sprawl to ignore the Clean Water Act, the Lake Simcoe Protection Act and the Great Lakes Protection Act. This puts the drinking water of millions of Ontarians at risk.
The Clean Water Act was created to make sure the Walkerton poisoned water disaster never happens again. Allowing development to bypass clean water protection makes another drinking water disaster possible in Ontario.
Bill 66 also allows development in the Greenbelt and other sensitive farmland, forests and water sheds. Ontario cities and towns already have enough land for new businesses and houses within their boundaries.
Tell Premier Ford and your Member of Provincial Parliament to Stop Bill 66 and protect our clean drinking water.
Your message will be CC'd to your local MPP, to the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, and to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing
