Canada: We need a strong national commitment to end plastic pollution

Canadians are among the highest producers of plastic waste in the world. Despite our best efforts, only a mere nine per cent of it is actually recycled. The rest ends up in landfills or polluting our environment, choking our waterways, and killing wildlife.

Each year, the Great Lakes alone take in approximately 10,000 tonnes of plastic trash.

With the federal election around the corner, this is a critical time for Canada to turn the tide on the growing plastic crisis. We need to make sure all party leaders know that Canadians from coast-to-coast-to-coast want to see an end to plastic pollution.

Tell all party leaders that Canada needs a strong national commitment to end plastic pollution.

This letter will be sent to your local candidates as well as all party leaders.
