Unilever, P&G, SC Johnson and Henkel: Stop fighting laws that prevent plastic pollution in Ontario!

Unilever, P&G, SC Johnson and Henkel are large companies with infinite lines of products –Tide, Axe, Purex and Ziplock among many others— that generate millions of tonnes of plastic packaging and waste. These companies are major contributors to the global plastic crisis, and we are paying the cost to clean up their mess.

All four have promised to reduce the amount of plastic they use and be responsible for the plastic waste they generate. But it turns out they want us to pay the bill.

Behind closed doors, they are putting pressure on the Ontario government to weaken legislation that would increase recycling rates and reduce plastic waste.

Instead of supporting a system that would help reduce plastic pollution in Ontario, these companies are working hard to dismantle it.

Ontario deserves a zero plastic waste environment. We need to let these companies know their efforts to weaken laws to reduce plastic pollution are shameful.

Tell Unilever, P&G, SC Johnson and Henkel to stop fighting laws that prevent plastic pollution in Ontario!
