Lake Erie can’t afford more delays. It’s time to act now!
Algae blooms continue to threaten the health of Lake Erie and those who rely on it. But government actions to restore and protect the lake have been stalled.
Lake Erie is a global treasure. It provides drinking water for millions of people and supports both a multi-million dollar economy and a truly remarkable ecosystem. The lake is home to nearly 2.7 million Canadians, as well as countless birds, animals, and fish.
But this is all at risk.
Algae blooms can clog drinking water intake pipes, kill fish, devastate ecosystems, and cost the Canadian economy an average of $272 million per year. Government needs to act now to keep pollution out of Lake Erie.
Sign the petition and tell the federal and provincial governments to stop delaying and put their plan to work to Save Lake Erie.
